FlexJobs, a leading online job board for available telecommuting, part-time, flexible schedule, and freelance jobs, released their list of the top 25 Flexible Career Trends. Rounding the list of the top 5 as of Q2, 2011 are:
- Medical & Health – 7.80% Increase
- Sales – 6.41% increase
- Education & Training – 5.46% increase
- Computer & IT – 5.32% increase
- Administrative – 5.00% increase
Among 25 different career fields, the Medical and Health field led the flexible job market with the highest percentage of open jobs. The Digital Journal reported that in July, the Art and Creative field had the biggest increase in overall volume at 36% growth followed by Education which grew by 32%. In July, Engineering had the largest drop with a decrease of 43%.
